So you’ve ended up here, have you? You must be at the end of your tether. I’m Cam, or Camilla, or even Millie if you know me well. I’m at the horrific stage of being a “young adult” and I thought that since like most people my age, I have a chronic problem with oversharing my life on the internet already, I might as well make it official.
But Cam, why would we be interested in your life?
Well, to be honest, you might not be. You might think I’m incredibly boring and awful and have nothing good to say. But if I were you, I’d give me a chance.
I’m a young anthropologist-turned-veterinarian on a mission to change the world. Formerly anorexic, now turned (mostly) vegan, asthmatic and generally a bit sickly, I have eye bags the size of Jupiter and sometimes make questionable fashion choices. I’m writing this blog to raise awareness of some of the issues that I feel are important, for example animal extinction and mental health, but also to reassure you that in this crazy, mixed-up world, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. None of us knows how this works, no matter how well we may pretend, or how perfect our winged eyeliner is. Hopefully I can help or reassure you regarding some of life’s more challenging aspects, and give you an insight into my own crazy life.
So please, I invite you to make a coffee, sit down, talk with me. I have tattoos and stories to tell and things to share with you. I have been described as “too friendly” and “a bit desperate, to be honest, Cam”, so there’s no risk of intimidation here. I’m not a fitness blogger, or a food blogger, or an ambassador for mental health: I’m just trying to do my best.
Also I am obsessed with monkeys, I should have mentioned that earlier.
Welcome to my world!
